RepuCare is a woman-owned business (certified WBE) and a leading provider of medical management solutions for state, federal and corporate healthcare programs. We are currently looking for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for our client in Evansville, IN.

Individual is responsible for provision of medical-psychiatric care of assigned patients. Individual participates in the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines to assure continuous performance improvement in safety, patient care, and outcomes.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform work under the direction of the Medical Director, work is reviewed through consultations with the collaborative physician or Medical Director.
  • Providing patients with the quality of care consistent with contemporary professional standards in their professional discipline.
  • Abiding by the Medical Staff Organization By-Laws, Rules and Regulations, and Medical Staff and Hospital policies and procedures.
  • Discharging in a professional and cooperative manner such responsibilities as assignments imposed upon the members by virtue of Medical Staff Organization membership, including committee assignments.
  • Maintain accurate patient medical records to reflect and assume accountability for clinical decisions and actions.  
  • To ensure accurate, timely, and legible completion of patient's medical record.
  • Abiding by the lawful and ethical principles of each discipline as provided by law and professional associations.
  • Working cooperatively and collaboratively with all medical and non-medical staff, administration, and community agencies in order to have a positive and therapeutic impact on patient care.
  • Participating in continuing education programs as determined by the Medical Staff Organization, based on the recommendations of the Medical Director.
  • Notifying the Medical Staff Organization and the Hospital administration of any adverse actions taken against the individual by any healthcare facility, state licensure board, or drug enforcement agency.
  • Discharging such other obligations as may be lawfully established from time to time by the Medical Staff Organization.
  • To assume an active role in the education of patients, families, and staff.
  • To coordinate care, treatment, and services with other practitioners and hospital personnel, as relevant to care, treatment, and services of an individual patient.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Requirements:

Master's degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from an accredited college. Hold an active, current, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Indiana. Hold an active, current, and unrestricted Controlled Substance Registration - Prescriptive Authority license in the State of Indiana. Hold an active, current, and unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency number.
